Bethany Hobbs Smith

Bethany Smith is the Chief Administrative Officer at Hobbs Realty. Raised on Holden Beach, she grew up in the vacation rental industry, with property management talk as common at the dinner table as sweet tea. From helping out at her family’s local amusement businesses to inspecting vacation homes on weekends, Bethany’s hands-on experience began early and runs deep. After earning her degree in psychology and a K–6 NC teaching license from Meredith College, she spent several years in the classroom guiding young minds, a role that sharpened her skills in leadership, communication, and coaching. Today, she brings that same passion for people and process to her work at Hobbs Realty, helping lead the team, streamline operations, and ensure every guest, homeowner, and staff member feels seen, supported, and right at home.
